Anastazy wakes up unable to remember who he is or how he ended up alone in the snowy woods when a stranger and her three dogs find him, offering him a meal and a place to get his bearings. Drawn to the distant mountains, Anastazy sets off with Ayla as his guide in the hopes that he'll recover his memories along the way. But the closer they get to the mountain, Anastazy soon begins to realize the truth might be more painful than he thought.
